The National Association of Realtors, whose primary purpose is to boost the profits of its members, has announced it misled home buyers, sellers, Congress, and the Mainstream Media about how deep the housing bust has been.  From 2007-2010, the NAR overestimated sales by 6.5 Million, at a rate of 14.3%.

The National Association of Realtors is due to drastically revise downward its home sales data this week.  The NAR didn't collect actual data: they were estimating sales.  And news entities all over the US, including in C'ville, faithfully reported the numbers as fact.  As for locals being able to qualify for mortgages?  One in five area families can't pay their bills.

OccupyCville broke camp at Charlottesville's Lee Park and 16 (18?) members were arrested in a quiet, orderly fashion early in the AM of December 1, on trespassing charges.  Camp sweeps have been occurring across the US, most recently in LA and Philly.  Watch for the Occupiers to re-emerge at the Free Speech Wall on the Downtown Mall.
